Here is a comparison of water temperature for Kawaihae Reef for the month of July in 2015 and 2016. July 2016 temperature range is similar to last year’s, however, there are more days where peak temperature exceed the previous year. We could see another round of bleaching if the water temperature mimicked last year’s into August and September.
