The Hawaiʻi Department of Health Clean Water Branch issued a High Bacteria Count Advisory on Friday afternoon for Pelekane Bay, the coastal waters fronting the Puʻukohola Heiau National Historic Site.

History is about to repeat itself when the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Harbors Division implements its 2035 Commercial Harbor Master Plan for Kawaihae Harbor shortly.
